Beta #1 and Progesterone

I got the results of my first beta and progesterone levels.

I got the first beta done on 3 weeks 6 days and based on my research the level should be anywhere from 5-50 for 3 weeks. My level is 25. I kind of was hoping for higher but the day the blood was drawn was technically 13 days past ovulation so I know it’s very early. The doctor even put a note that said “barely pregnant”. Umm…is that suppose to make me feel good? Couldn’t she had just said pregnant? Maybe I am over thinking this but I just want this baby to be healthy and grow normally.

On day 22 my progesterone level was 22.0, when they drew the blood yesterday it was day 28 and the level is now 39.8. This number makes me super happy!

Now, we just wait and see if the hcg doubles. I go tomorrow to get my blood drawn and won’t know the results until the next day. Please pray, send positive thoughts, and good, strong energy for us and our baby.

Sending you positive thoughts!! My doc said anything above 5 was a positive pregnancy and as long as the numbers grow it’s ok! Grow little baby!

Thank you…I don’t think it would have bothered me as much if she hasn’t said “barely pregnant”. I’m just trying to stay calm.

You’d think doctors would be more conscious of their wording! Put your feet up and veg out on a good show!

I know. I did just that after I got home from work.

Me too. It was a definite bummer seeing the whole “barely” thing. Pregnant should be pregnant.
