Timeline of Our Infertility Journey

Timeline of Our Journey with Infertility:

March 9, 2015 – Regular Ob/gyn check-up, pre-pregnancy consultation

March 30, 2015- First round of blood work, first sign of something wrong. Didn’t ovulate.

April 6, 2015- Day 21 Progesterone test, still didn’t ovulate, still low progesterone (0.8)

April 7-16- First round of progesterone

May 9, 2015- Day 21 Progesterone test, no ovulation, progesterone level 1.0

May 12, 2015- Started second round of progesterone

May 20, 2015- Doctor appointment…Diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

May 27-31, 2015- Clomid (first round) 50mg

June 6, 2015- Testerone and thyroid levels checked because of my hair thinning. Results are normal.

June 13, 2015- Day 22 progesterone blood draw

June 16, 2015- Results of day 22 progesterone blood test- Confirmed ovulation. (10.8)

June 21, 2015- Cycle Day 1- no pregnancy.

June 25-29, 2015- Clomid (second round) 50mg

July 13, 2015- Day 23 progesterone blood draw- Confirmed ovulation (14.7)

July 22, 2015- Cycle Day 1- no pregnancy

July 26-30, 2015- Clomid (third round) 50mg

August 12, 2015- Day 22 progesterone blood test- Confirmed ovulation (22.0) Looking hopeful.

August 16, 2015- Very, very faint positive pregnancy test.

August 18, 2015- Stronger positive pregnancy test. HCG blood test. Result: 25. Progesterone blood test. Result: 39.8.  PREGNANT!!!

August 20, 2015- 48 hour redraw of HCG. Results: 86. PREGNANT!!!

August 30, 2015- Extreme lower abdominal pain. Went to the ER thinking etopic pregnancy. Everything normal. Saw yolk sack.

August 31, 2015- Recheck of progesterone and HCG. Progesterone: 36.2. HCG: 10,609. Yay!

September 4, 2015- Still in pain. OB does a repeat ultrasound. Everything good. Saw yolk sack and fetal pole. Heartbeat 109.

September 16, 2015-

  • 8 week ultrasound. Everything good. Heartbeat 153.
  • Gestational diabetes test: normal
  • OB bloodwork and urinalysis ran: normal

December 2, 2015- Anatomy scan: Everything normal and we are having a little boy!

January 18, 2016- Second Gestational Diabetes test: Normal
